Junior Data Engineer

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Assist in developing and supporting ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Write SQL queries to help with ad-hoc data analysis and basic investigations.
  • Monitor data pipeline health and assist in setting up basic data quality alerts.
  • Collaborate with the team to understand the basic business logic behind the data we process.
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve routine data-related issues.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Degree in a relevant field (or successful completion of specialized data engineering courses).
  • 3 months to 1 year of experience (pet projects, internships, or basic commercial experience are welcome).
  • Good knowledge of Python and Pandas.
  • Solid understanding of basic SQL joins, grouping, basic window functions).
  • Basic understanding of how to work with APIs and JSON data.
  • Willingness to learn ETL orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt) and cloud platforms.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Basic experience with Apache Airflow or dbt.
  • Familiarity with data visualization concepts.
  • Experience working with Google Spreadsheets.
  • Background or interest in the AdTech industry.

STEPS OF THE SELECTION PROCESS:

  • Screening Interview (45 minutes) – Initial conversation with a recruiter.
  • Test Assignment (2 days) – Complete a task to showcase your skills.
  • Technical Interview (up to 60 minutes) – A deep dive into your functional expertise, problem-solving approach, and practical skills relevant to the role.
  • Final Interview (Up to 60 minutes) – Meet with the Team Lead for an in-depth discussion of your experience and skills.
  • Offer – If successful, you’ll receive an offer to join our team.
