Director of Supply Operations
What You'll Do
- Own the day-to-day operational performance of Smart Supply, excluding direct sales.
- Lead and develop the AdOps team, including responsibility for technical implementation.
- Drive supply monetization, curation, supply and vendor optimization, margin improvement, and revenue growth.
- Oversee the monetization-related Client Services / Account Management function.
- Develop and execute structured testing approaches for new technologies, traffic sources, and monetization opportunities.
- Review and validate test results, and guide the team in identifying additional optimization and monetization opportunities.
- Clearly communicate what has been tested, what works, what does not work, and why.
- Provide executive leadership with clear conclusions, recommendations, and an understanding of the limitations of different approaches.
- Partner closely with Sales to understand market and client needs and adapt operations accordingly.
- Collaborate with Product on product direction, testing, operational feedback, and future development.
- Collaborate with Engineering on technical feasibility and implementation.
- Build scalable workflows, introduce automation, and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead hiring, team development, performance management, and organizational changes.
What You Bring
Must-have
- Significant leadership experience in programmatic advertising, AdTech, or a closely related programmatic technology environment.
- Strong working knowledge of the programmatic advertising ecosystem and supply-side operations, including SSPs, bid requests, curation, monetization, vendor optimization, testing, and traffic-source evaluation.
- Strong technical understanding of programmatic operations, with the ability to review and validate technical and operational testing results.
- Proven experience leading teams of 20+ people, including hiring, team development, performance management, and handling terminations when necessary.
- Proven ability to lead complex operational and technical initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Experience improving revenue performance, margins, operational efficiency, or supply quality.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to balance technical, operational, commercial, product, and client considerations.
- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and directly to C-level stakeholders.
- Experience working with the US programmatic advertising market is strongly preferred.
- Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
