Junior Data Engineer

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Design, develop, and maintain new ETL processes, as well as support existing ones to ensure smooth and efficient data workflows.
  • Write SQL queries to fulfill ad hoc data requests and assist in generating internal reports.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving data inconsistencies and issues within the database.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to learn best practices and improve data handling processes.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Basic experience (6+ months) in a similar role, or successful completion of relevant courses, pet projects, or internships.
  • Proficiency in Python and the Pandas library.
  • Solid understanding of SQL, including DML and window functions.
  • Experience working with APIs and JSON data.
  • Exposure to Apache Airflow or similar ETL orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) — free-tier exploration is sufficient.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

STEPS OF THE SELECTION PROCESS:

  • Screening Interview (45 minutes) – Initial conversation with a recruiter.
  • Test Assignment (3 days) – A task designed to evaluate your technical skills.
  • Technical Interview (up to 60 minutes) – A deep dive into your functional expertise, problem-solving approach, and practical skills relevant to the role.
